We are still probably 6 weeks away from riding season here in Canada.

-15c in Ontario Canada. We are lucky if we can ride for 6 months of the year and pay a ridiculous price for bike insurance for the privilege.

Ah c'est du propre tout ça !

That's a bloody stupid place to hide with a speed gun. If a car misses the exit lane and hits the lane marker, the stupid cop is toast! That said, the bike parked up on the hard shoulder does give the game away... Just goes to show that all the Gendarmes care about is getting your money!

welcome in France, it is often like that.

I put these pics to show to Kam how are the cops in France, and he must take care when he will come

Sneaky! ......hiding behind the bollard!

It's a problem everywhere these days ...and I'm sure a lot of it is down to raising revenue and 'hitting targets' rather than genuine 'safety' concerns.

I kind of like the fact we have an 'off season' as it makes it all the more exciting when the new season approaches - like a kid at Christmas...Although I would rather it was just two months instead of four.

And I thought our four month's off was bad!

As mentioned above, with the rideout season nearly upon us it is time to get ready ...so I took Sarah's bike up to Ducati Glasgow for a set of new tyres on Saturday. We decided to go for the Michelin Pilot Road 3's. So many of the group are now switching to them as they seem to last forever yet are virtually as good as the usual road tyres we use (and better in the wet).

Some of the guys are caning these tyres yet still getting 6000 miles out of a rear instead of the usual 'less than 2000'. !

Saturday morning - Sarah's gixxer now with new boots - they should last her till next year (fingers crossed).

Start them young! Lol! Ducati Glasgow on Saturday ...

The store was busy, as with it being the first day of the new Reg. they had six new bikes going out .... including these two ...the last of their 848 Evo's together with it's replacement, - the new 899 Panigale...

We spent the rest of the day on two wheels, but bicycles this time, with a 55 mile cycle up to Luss and back....

The river Leven was very high and had flooded it's banks, this was the cycle track near Balloch ..we passed pedestrians wading through in frozen bare feet, clutching their socks and shoes.
