Kam,

Haven't posted for quite some time, but rest assured I'm still following your great thread.

Congrats on the new steed BTW, looks good - hope the forecast was wrong and you did manage to get out today.

Temps are definitely up now..........don't want to rub it in, but I managed to get out both yesterday and today - a few hundred miles covered!

Always love the first few rides of the new season, blows away the winter blues.

Anyway, please keep your awesome pictures and stories coming.

CeltRider.

Hi Terry, I had to take Sarah's bike for a service early this morning, it was 6 C . Having said that, our normal threshold for group rideouts is 10 C.

35 C would be too hot for me! - I like 15 - 25 C as ideal for rideouts and wearing leather kit .

(Edit 11/03/14..... This morning it was my bikes turn to go to the dealers ...it was 2.5 C when I set off with a frost on the grass......that's clear skies for you...mind you, it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day after the cold start).

'20 degrees! - preparing for summer!' - It sounds like summer has already arrived for you lucky people.

Is your bike on a boat in that pic?

Hi there, good to hear from you ..and great to hear you are getting back out again. It does seem that the weather has been a lot warmer down south ...... I saw on the news that temps were up at 19 C down on the south coast of England at the weekend .....We have some sunny days forecast for the next few days ...but only 10 C.

Still, it's nice to see some dry, clear skies...this was this evening around 6:00 pm.

Clear skies today .... so managed to get out on the gixxer after work for a wee blast (although when I say 'blast' I am still running her in so trying to stick to 6500 rpm.

Felt good though ...if a tad cold ...

Out at the Glengoyne distillery at Dumgoyne on the A81.

Still a little chilly this weekend at 8500ft. About 7C. First blue sky weekend in a while so I had to go!

That's a common misconception! I guess I was overdue to update my location.

Aaaaah, - I thought you might have been off on your travels.

Thanks, glad you like the new gixxer.

I managed to get out again yesterday afternoon, well the sun was shining and we had 12 C so I took the afternoon off to make the most of it.

Went up to the beach at Loch Lubnaig ...

Nice pic ...... and yes, at this time of year, after month's of winter you have got to grab the sunshine when it comes.

I was just the same yesterday afternoon. Went home early to grab a quick ride....

New rest area is open by Loch Lubnaig....

We still have snow too on the high ground....
