Anyone Know these Mates?

Met them on the Macgruder highway ( a wilderness back road in Northern Idaho, USA)... they said they swam from New Zealand with the motorcycles on their backs... learning this I called them "sir"

Safe travels mates!

A good mate and his son are riding up that way right now, on a pair of KLRs. Seems like there's a few Kiwis up that way right now...

Quote:
As flames engulfed a crashed car on a remote desert road in Utah, two Kiwis knew they had to get the driver out before it exploded.

Seconds after they dragged the injured pensioner to safety, the car "just went up".

New Plymouth men Maurice Doyle, 58, and Rhys Humphries, 45, were riding Harley-Davidsons on a highway that runs from Nevada to Utah on Saturday when they came across a car that had crashed moments earlier.

After checking the driver they decided to leave him in the car until emergency services arrived in case he had spinal or internal injuries.

Then they noticed smoke, quickly followed by flames.

"I said to Rhys, we've got to get him out. The old fella wasn't too happy about that, but we managed to drag him out and pull him down the road a bit," Mr Doyle said.

Mr Humphries said just after they moved the man to safety, the front of the car exploded. "If we'd left him he would have died. He wouldn't have gotten out of the car on his own."
