A n00b goes racing

I raced a couple of midwest mud races not long after my early desert days, i.e., a lot younger and still in good shape. I wanted the freaking die. One of them took me 2 and a half hours to go 24 miles.

So I pose a question to the floor: if the loops are only 18 miles in this USDR race and they are supposed to be easier than D.37 - should i sign up for FOUR loops or TWO?

If they are easier, then I think I should try for four laps.... what do you guys think?

I think they will require you to just do the two your first time with them. I read their rules, and unless you hold a license for expert of ammie in another series, they put you in the kids... uh, the beginner/novice race.

oh FINE - here I am trying to mentally push myself and I get knocked back to minor leagues!



what was CLASSIC was when I finished checkers, I swang by the pits to tell all the Coyotes around that I was ok and finished for the day and there was a kid there and I asked him if he was waiting for anyone, and he said something to the effect of "no - well we have some kind of beginner, new guy out there and he hasnt come in yet"

and I laughed and told him that was me and he kinda looked horrified for a second and then said..... "....... oh..... "

The XR hit me in the face today - mid second lap. Dunno what happened... I was in another guys' dust and missed a whoops or a rock and blammo; over the bars.

oh - I have no idea how I did. When I cashed, 40 guys must have gone by. I was there for 15 or 20 minutes at least.... it might have been longer so I lost TONS of spots and when I got back underway I wasnt going to fast enough to not get passed by everyone. In fact I almost crashed trying to catch a kid of a Kwak.



I finished at least!
