remember in Checkers last year after all the single track there was that dry lakebed?

I was stuck behind a bunch of kids because I suck but when I got to that lakebed, I took off and passed a big group - so I had the Dust To Glory-wide-open-at-100-mph-passing-everyone-Johnny-campbell-through-the-dry-lakebed-kicking-ass-taking-names-on-the-650R feeling

it was brief.

but incredible!

kinda like leading a race!

Awesome video summary of the Catalina. I dunno how you find the time to edit all that video, and more importantly how to talk to the camera like that. You only said "Aahh, I dunno what to say next" once the whole season!

Ive thought about doing similar vid's but I dont think I have the same self confidence and good looks.

Ill probably chime in now and then with updates. For now im waiting for my foot to heal enough to race again. Im shooting for Checkers in late Feb, then the next one in March.

No no no no, this is a total cop out. Why the heck cant we follow all your races this year?

ANYWAY....

It's very likely that I will be going to the Riff Raff rally school in Nevada/Dumont dunes area in mid April (www.rallymanagementservices.com). Its three days of camping and riding all day, navigation training for rally events; your very own mini-rally if you like. I think its high time you gave it a bash too. Are we going to see you there? PM me if youre keen. The same goes you too airbornedad and motomike. Would be great to have a beer with you guys regarldess.

Rally school does sound like a blast... but for $1000?

It would be amazing to do it though....

and the video editing isnt the problem, making sound interesting is the problem. Editing is my job!
Im not that interesting, motorcycles are. you gotta slide those in somewhere.... at the begenning I had a lot of problems with stalling and saying "ummmmm.....ummmmmm....ummmmmm" so having a plan of what you're going to say helps

So my mom bought this shot at the race and I finally got a chance to scan it.

I walked seven miles with the wife this morning - it was her final training day for her half marathon next weekend. the foot still hurts more than I want it to..... I need to get some serious cardio work done soon to get ready for the next race.

Also, a Jimmy Lewis class might be in the cars soon....

Nice shot! A great photo like that is as good as any trophy and will likely stir more memories a decade or two from now.

CLASSIC

thats a good warm up to what my grandfather was like. he was KING BS'er - ive never met a finer one.

Incidentally, he was Andrew James Sr., my dad is Jr. and I am the III.
If there ever is a baby pasta, he'll be AJ IV!
