WHATEVER you do DON'T hit the brakes!!! You will only have more time to think about that face plant coming up.

Gas it and carry the front wheel over the ditch and keep on gassing it so the rear wheel won't kick when it hits the other side.

That is a screen grab that someone else posted after the 4 Aces race in Feb. That's me on his left.

I saw it and panic braked at first, killed the engine, then proceeded to bunny hop it dead engine. Cased it a little on the other side but made it, a lot of others weren't so lucky.

That looks to be one of those things that you can make it over if yer going fast enough..... if not yer in trouble....

Yeah thats what makes play riding in the desert SO dangerous.

I can remember one year I went to the bomb run and I was riding a section I had ridden before at a very high rate of speed. Coming around a corner there was a huge section that had washed out. I was lucky that I was going as fast as I was. If I had been going slower I probably would have gotten hurt pretty badly.

Point being you cant just go plowing into the desert. If you do, it might be the last thing you ever do...

SOME people get tired!! and SOME people cant stay in shape by sitting around drinking beer! Not everyone can just come out and win a dirt track race - willy nilly!

I was in first and that is awesome.... but I have to be honest when I say I was surprised. Also, Im trying to remember when I was ever passed... I can only think of one time maybe twice when I got passed.... well doesnt really matter.

More in shape and more strong for next time!
