Ive got the fuel line windows on my tanks as well - question is can anyone else actually see the fuel level in their tanks? I can see anything different full, 1/2 full or empty!!!

Yellow suits the bike...

Looks like you folks here been busy past few months :)

I finally broke the riddle of my different frame. According to lads from Mattighofen, there were only 2 prototypes of this frame. To me it looks like the second ended with Gerduro in Australia, but unconfirmed.

The frame is slightly shorter, softer in middle part of the frame due lack of one rib and lighter tubing, but a lot stiffer in head part. Different airbox position, lot more air for breathing due significally bigger breather hole over front part of air filter.

It was designed for Baja project, but never used there.

Btw, I know where is one complete Baja kit - fuel tank, wings, exhaust, etc.. Marc's mechanic have one, but refuses to sell, which I completely understand :)

It is a very powerful bike, easy to drive in sand dunes, but hard to pick up in sand if I drop it :)
I have to many questions about it, and hope to find answers here. Thank you.
Sorry for my English.

Great bike!
How about test drive? :)

The reservoir is turned because of 450 RR rear tank. Otherwise it is 690's Factory Trax.

The fitting is quick coupling for oil cooler hoses. Banjo bolts are difficult to access on 690 engine when changing engine.

Fronttanks material

Ok, I've searched this thread and various others with no luck....

Busted one of my front tanks (450 rally ones) in the Hellas rally, and need to know what type of plastic they're made of. It's just a small crack, so hopefully I can just "weld" it together with some plastic weld...

Thanks for any help!

That's heat-reflective foil to keep engine heat at bay from air intake.

Most likely getting a 15mph speed advantage, and making bike the non-crashable ;-)

Question for 690rr

With the oil cooler,if it gets damaged and leaks can you plug the 2 banjo fittings on the engine caseings?,or do you require a bridge/loop line between the two oil galleries on the engine for oil flow.
