Exactly. I'll PM you.

Edit: For the record - my 2 local KTM dealers do an excellent job - especially the one doing the maintenance service.
Friendly people with good service attitude and stellar followup.

Latest practical item for my beast comes from Anderson Stands down under. I saw it on a picture with Marc Coma at Dakar 2010, and Jenny Morgan expeditely provided the link. First impression is of solid quality and excellent workmanship.
http://www.andersonstands.com/tour_prop_stand.htm
I expect to use it frequently for chainlubing and the eventual puncture repair.

Can vouch for the tour prop, nice bit of kit and solid considering its size.

Paypal. Give them your email adress, pay the neat sum and it took a fortnight from The Other Planetary Side (TOPS) to polar Norway - and 59,- AUD. http://kalkuler.no/#valuta?vt=59&v1=AUD&v2=NOK

In my book this is a gem. Well worth it and will see frequent use. Oz engineering at its best and most practical. Put it in your toolbag, velcro- or zip-tie it to a frame member and enjoy the ride!

Took the Beast out for its first ThawRide(tm) in the misty afternoon today. Temps were a moist + 2-5 C.

Crappy cell picture, but you get the idea

The Anderson Tour Prop was applied for chain lubing just after the ride, while chain was still warm

Thumbs up for another big-grin season!

Fairings

Hi, I am having some difficulty trying to get fairings for the 690RR and was hoping I may get a bit of help on this thread.

I was liking the idea of the one piece fairing by Rally Raid, so emailed Paul Round at Rally Raid as per website for shipping costs...without reply, but seems I have to give up on that.

Then made the enquiry with MXProDecals for availability, shipping and pricing on Carbon/Kevlar option...without reply, so not sure what is happening with that.

I was considering just fixing up what I have and getting a full set of moulds done, but I have too many projects on the go already.

I also need the tail piece cover and CF base for the rear, mine is still in the WA outback somewhere. I would really like to know if the one CUMMO posted pics of is available?

Any help on sourcing these bits would be greatly appreciated. Also is there a particular KTM dealer in the world who specialises in the 690RR for parts?

Cheers

Paul can be somewhat tricky to reach sometimes....... But he do answer.
Ordered a fairing to a 660 Rally from him a while back. Got it allmost a year after. Not Pauls fault, the mailservice between UK and ol´Sweden was a mess at that time. By the time i got it i had allready sold the bike, so never had any time to test it.

There is a place in Sweden that makes plastic and glass fiber panels for very reasonable prices. They had one of the 690RR fairings on their site awhile ago as an offered product and it was about $100 USD as i recall. I just looked at the site again and I did not see it. You might try contacting them to see if they can still make them:

I think it was these guys:

Ordered some long desired stuff from one of my absolute favourite ADV-shops:
www.adventure-spec.com in UK.

Last preps for Vårrundan in Sweden is now soon finished.
A mere 3 days after order, these items arrived for Beast and F8GS usage:

Blue thingy in 32mm tyre-lever gizmo is a socket wrench. Motion-Pro makes some nifty stuff

Last project is to make new rear indicator brackets, ditch the now broken plastic ditto and move the reg.plate up behind the taillight. See previous Beast picture and notice the dubious luggage straps at rear, behind the taillight...
