Hope this all turns out. It was a real bummer about the deal in Colombia last year. I hope I'm in the area when the event takes place

I'll be watching this thread.

Cold in winter.....

I spent my first winter in Santa Catarina last year and was shocked at how cold it got. I lived in Pomerode until July and then moved to Jaragua do Sul. We regularly had single digit temps with a few days getting down to 2-3C in July& August. I would never have believed it could get so cold here. Does it get that cold in Parana? Maybe a little before the winter may be good for those of us fair weather riders. Do we want to wait 5-6 months to have the meeting or make it sooner? I was hopping to meet everyone sooner.

How much time for planning do we need? I think that 2-3 months would be enough but others may have different situations then me.

Guaraqueçaba looks very cool with lots of mountains around and a short days ride for me. Leaving plenty of time for

Cheers,

Mike

Ok Guys.
I agree we should avoid the winter months if we are going to organize it in the southern region of Brazil.
So, if Guaraquecaba is good enough, how about mid/end of March (March 19-21, for example) ?

Good to see you here Lucio!
I believe we can have a little bit of problems with hotels, but, let's see first what they say for me OK?
And we have to put a date and make it, or we'll never have one.

Felipe!
We're planning to realize this on Guaraqueçaba, a city near Morretes, in Paraná State.
The plan is look for person that want to go, after it, we'll organize a barbecue (churrasco), a short trip near city, etc.
Keep in touch.

Agreed. We have to define a date and "just do it".

So, we have now Felipe from RS to be with us as well.
By the way, I will be attending the meeting with Paula (my wife) who is an ADV Rider as well.

Living in Oklahoma USA now but am leaving on a trip to the South here ASAP and plan to spend lots of time in Brasil

Hope I can make the meeting if things work out. The later the better except for that winter thing.

I see what happens...

I thing that if you can't participate this time, we can make another one, or receive you to a barbecue and a beer without problems.
Let us in contact...

Great Initiative!!!!

Fellows ADVs,

It`s a great idea to promote such meeting. I`m not sure if I`ll be able to attend this 1st BAAM, but I`ll do everything possible to be available during the period proposed.

Guaraqueçaba is fine. And, of course, I`ll try to convice my wife to go with me (she had just her 1st experience on a single day 2 up long ride - 700 km).

I`ll be following this thread.
