Mommer, aka Jasen, also on a beauty of a 950a. Always smiling and also willing to accept medical reminders.

Mommer's Cousin, aka Kurt, on a new to him BMW 650gs. Kurt gets the award for biggest trooper. He is an experienced street rider who never hit dirt or sand until this trip.

And last but not least, the sweethearts of ADV.

Hayduke, aka Duke, on his beloved 950a. Duke struggled with which bike to take on this trip, he made the right choice for reasons that will be revealed later in this RR.

Bonnie Abbzug, aka Tami, on her cherished XT225. Bead seller and sturdy girl wrapped into one. Not an easy combo to come by these days.

Now that the intros are done let's post a few prep pics. Only because I think Chris's and Duke's opposing prep strategies are hilarious.

There was much discussion about what to pack and whether to carry camping gear and what to check on the bikes, how many spare tubes to carry and all that jazz. This is where opposing personality types really started to shine though.

Chris's packing prep.

Duke's packing prep.

Mine and Ben's bike prep.
