if you've never been to loveless it's certainly worth checking out, though a bit crowded for my taste.

the new owners of country boy in leipers are turning out some good stuff, but i still end up at puckett's for the atmosphere. it doesn't hurt that they have a gas pump.
thanks Blake

TAG!!!

Photobucket

Loveless is nice except it seems to draw a lot of scruffy biker types.

Brian's a great guy. And he doesn't spit when he eats. Which is always good.

Your new tag...

It's a beautiful day...go forth and fetch.

Since its such a nice day and to keep everyone from spending it on the innerwebs looking for this...this tag is on Fernvalle Rd which is also known as Old State hwy 96 in the Leipers Fork area.

Word of caution...the road through here was damaged by the flood and is in the process of being repaired. Many sections of rough pavement interspersed with patches of gravel. They'll sneak up on you.

Now, git.

I'm still amazed at all of the covered bridge driveway's that I run across after the flood. Typical bridges and drives are all washed out, yet those covered ones are still intact with debris still in the windows. Wild stuff.
I pass the above tag all the time. that road use to be somewhat rough but still doable on the Duc. I wouldn't take a fully faired road bike on there now days (unless you like chipped chin fairings). It's a decent D-S road.

Yeah, I noticed this one had a few holes punched in it like it caught some logs during the flood. I thought the same thing though. Amazing that they're still intact.

I see your point about bikes equipped with chin fairings...all others should be fine though. Just slow down. Passed a guy on a goldwing coming the other way. He seemed happy enough. The biggest threat seemed to be the local cagers flying along at warp speed.

Yeah, seems I flung all the tread off or something.

I've been trying to order some Shinko 705's all day but no one has them in stock. I'm almost afraid to ride the thing till I get some fresh rubber mounted.

took the wife out riding tonight. Passed within a mile of the open tag, but forgot the camera. Oh I suppose I could've use the iPhone, but we were just tooling around. If it's not nabbed by the am, I might snap it on the way over to the meeting point.
