74R90s, my first Beemer bought in 1981. Purchased for $1600 BUT it didn't look like a stock "s" model It had a Daytona Fairing, King and Queen leather seat, Wixom Bags and rack and the /7 knee pad tank. The only thing that resembled a R90s was the motor, side covers and fenders.
Estimated mileage is 168K because it had 24K when I bought it and looked well ridden.

The engine was stock when I got it and added; Lighten flywheel and shift kit in tranny, light piston pins, heads reworked to run unleaded but not dual-plugged, DynaIII ignition. Put new rings in when the heads were off. Cam chain making a bit of noise now but the timing marks are dead on, well almost.
It's the smoothest Airhead I've ever ridden.
Koni's and Progressive font springs.

I found a stock 74"s" tank and seat on IBMWR years back and ran across an "s" fairing in black. Still got the Daytona and I have the stock wheels. I swapped a pair of Luftmesters mufflers for the Lesters and I have another pair of Luftmesters collecting dust.

Sadly it spent a lot of time in a shed and taken out once a year but that's going to change. I did a mild restore in 1995 but it's looking it's age again.
Runs great and every time I get the fever for something new I break it out. Makes me really appreciate the FJR

I have a manual cam chain tensioner on the way. I had changed my fuel line and used left over tank vent hose. I don't that was a wise choice so I'm looking for replacement hose. Hoping those two items will get me going.

I've drug the pegs on my DR650 on Wayah Road.

Seriously, you have to stay behind me if you are going to inspect and critique my lean angle.

Lets move this over to this thread http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=870594 and get the pixel hunt back on topic!
Hey man no critique just dishing it out as it seemed IHF already put us in the weeds. I wish I could find more time to ride with everyone here. I really have no interest in chasing couch rockets down the street on the 250. Honestly, to me, you have to really push the posted speed limit on middle tn roads to wear out the edges anyway.

So yeah, where was that tag again?

Previous tag was at Leipers Fork Library so if you ride away from the main drag which is Old96 you'll enjoy a pleasant ride towards Fairview and you shouldn't miss the new tag on the left.

Hmm- I'll be through there on Saturday or Sunday. I expect the tag to be long gone by then though...

Been by that place several times and always wondered how it was....guess I'll have to give it a try sometime, especially since they have outdoor seating. There really is a limited amount of resturants with outdoor seating in this area...at least outdoor seating where you aren't just sitting on a sidewalk or along a heavily traveled road. By the way...NICE BIKE! That one and the Ninja 650 have been favorites of mine since I took a demo ride on one when they first came out and got off with a big smile on my face ( especially after watching my son pulling 2nd gear wheelies during same demo ride on another Ninja 650 )
600-650 bikes are the perfect size for riding in the Smokies IMO.....I'm sure you will enjoy it!
