The one in Polecat didn't match up so I went by the cow anyway. I probably flew right past the cemetery .

Purdy obscure ain't it.

Tell you what. You can either start at Only or at Furance and head towards Nunnelly.

After the tag make sure you turn left at 48 towards Pinewood and then hit I40 and go back down to Furance and do it again.

If you're real lucky you'll won't get stuck behind grandma.

.....and the less threatening possum-on-the half-shell.

For years I've seen them slowly migrate east. I would have thought they'd be a delicacy at a Nashville restaurant by now.

Odd, I've never seen them east of Nashville, they must be avoiding the big cities?

I have seen them in Cookeville in the last 6 months, but Mike has seen them in Jamestown. They are everywhere around here.

It's pretty wild seeing these guys move around. A while back I looked up some information on their current migration pattern, as I had been seeing a lot more of them in the last 5 years, and realizing I had not seen one at all in the previous 5 years, except in Florida and Georgia.

The wiki article on them has a little bit of information about their range and movement, including the fact that they will continue to grow their range as they have almost no predators.

moving vehicles appear to be the only predator.

I killed one with a 12 gauge once. That armor was tough to penetrate. I think the first shot barely even got it's attention. I guess a rifle would be a better choice.
