Oh la la...so slim and sexy. Amazing they haven't lost fuel capacity and have shrunk the foot print of the bike so much...very impressive.

Not a huge fan of the dropped nose look but it does fit with KTM's current image direction.

Some aspects I like, but some I don't.
- I'm with you Doyle on the extended light cover - not nice.
- I don't like that the front low guard seems quite angular while the rest of the styling seems quite flowing and rounded. The old front guard was nice and rounded and would suit better I think.
- I really dislike the clear front fairing and don;'t understand it. The race number plate has to go on there, so the rider gets to see the gum side of the sticker?? Yuk! Also, will it reflect light back to the rider from the gauges, roadbook etc? Maybe not an issue for the factory pilots but maybe later when Mr Privateer gets to buy one?
- The CF nav tower looks "trick" but I'm with 640 Armageddon on wondering how it'll stand up to a good crash, especially with high side force. May be difficult to jury rig out on the trail too - once again maybe not an issue for the factory pilots. (Although I remember Coma having to break out the plastic steel to fix a radiator problem a few years ago, so they do crash and break things occasionally).

I do like the idea of lighter, more nimble and the FI (if that's well sorted!) and some of the general styling is okay. I'm going to reserve final judgement until after the factory guys let me take one for a spin.

The aesthetics change once motion is involved hehe.
I reserve my judgement for once piste footage starts coming in.
Because you know that is all that matters.
Anyone ever see an ugly bike win the dakar?

I do like the clear fairing on a honda... there is history there
on the ktm, well... kind of out of character for them, they are not innovating...even if functionality is the idea there.

Question however, since when do KTM factory riders stop to check on their nav gear?? Ain't no body got time for that!!!
Tsk Tsk Tsk all mighty Matighoffen I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Slimmer, leaner, meaner with both bikes is cool and gets a
but I don't see a single scoop on the 450RR and that is soooo disappointing. Speaking from an entirely aesthetic point of view of course.

yep. You definitely got a point there. I agree, it's not following the Honda retro-EXP2 trend, it's meant to make it look like the 1190.
