Its certainly intended to look like an 1190's head light. Whether it is, I would not know.

It's not an 1190 unit - anyone got a good front on shot ?

Oh, I mean 450 ADVENTURE!!!

Er, 390 ADVENTURE?

What about 125 ADVENTURE?

really? those rally guys have that much ego and girlie in them they can't help out with a bike clean? sounds more like Justin Bieber's M.O. than a tough-guy rally racer.

Kurt is asking how to turn it (the camel) on and get it to go.

But....I suck at captions.

When I read Kurt's statement on the bike re: the handling and speed, I get the impression he is comparing it to his GNCC bike and not the previous Rally Bike.

No, I was just kidding around. After the way that Coma helped Kurt Caselli with navigation during last year's Dakar, I would imagine that he regularly gets his hands dirty. I will say though that I wouldn't think that the Rider/Pilot of a World Class Rally Team would regularly wash his own bike. He has other duties after he has completed testing or a stage in the race. Similarly, I wouldn't expect Sebastian Vettel to be changing his tires or oil after a testing session. They have their job on the team just like the guy (or gal), that is being paid to wash the bike, does.

The Bieb's name doesn't belong in the Bivouac Thread. That is sacrilegious.

There'll be a thread in Thumpers within a few hours about how this confirms the new 690 adventure

Then people will complain it doesn't have a wide ratio transmision...

It seem's it's now the IN thing to have a clear front fairing/windscreen, the better to see what's right in front??
Is it now old school to have a solid front fairing/windscreen?

Someone mentioned it previously,
KTM might have done this so that it somewhat resembles the new 1190 Adventure.

Sure won't helping seeing what's in front of you, with all the Nav Equipment in the way?!

IMHO, it looks just...wrong on the Katoom,
might be the "2-pieces" design....not sure...

Whilst everyone seems to be focussing on Rallye du Maroc at the moment, Pyndon is busy getting in a bit of testing/setup time in Morocco on his new rally bike before the Merzouga Rally next week.

Update on his website here

Dunno about that. The projector lamps appear similar to those on the 690/450 RFR. Main difference in the navtower structure is the carbonfibre material used. Expensive and lighter than the previous metal structure.

Remains to be seen how solid this is in race conditions. A few crashes on we will see that
