That is a shame. I would've thought an asset recovery auction or something similar would have taken place.

The PKL looks pretty well sorted though.

For sure as Prades mainly designed both Bordone and Pkl

Some more info about Manuel new team (googled translation, sorry!)

The Rebel Team officially announces

The agreement reached with Yamaha Motor Italy , thanks to which it will benefit from direct support for the rally season and Baja 2014. The team will compete in off -road , entrusting the WR450F to the Baja 2012 World Champion , Manuel Lucchese . Start the challenge for the newborn team led by Carlo Boffi , former head markentig for Diesel , now struggling with the role of team manager . That's him , he would have put up confidence in the ability of Lucchese , assigning him the delicate task of driver and tester . The Roman Empire, thanks to the experience gained in the Dakar Rally and Baja and in the World , has the right qualities to fill the post of riders tip, waiting to be joined by a second guide yet to be determined .

The care of motorcycles and components, will be the task of the chief engineer Mauro Sant (ex mechanic Edi Orioli ) which will capitalize on the expertise gained in fifteen years of Dakar and countless international rallies . With this ensemble , the Rebel Team is preparing to compete in the national championship Motorally to which will be added as participation in various stages of the World Championship. "This year our efforts will be high - said Team Manager Boffi - In addition to the Italian Rally Championship , is in fact our desire to be present on the international scene . In this regard I would like to bring Manuel overseas , making his debut in the United States before year end. has signed an agreement with Italian Yamaha makes us proud , for this we will do everything to achieve our goals , knowing that they can rely on their valuable support . "

The basis of the project 's Team Rebel there would also be the creation of a rally kit designed specifically for the Yamaha WR450F . This arrangement , designed for desert and off-road adventures , will be tested during the season directly through competitions , before being sold . Team's goal will be to develop a product that ensures racing oriented , in addition to performance, reliability and practicality. The bike will then be presented at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona and the kit will be available on the market since May, with the aim of offering to the public a half- ready to race at a competitive price . The team, finally, will be present this year at the EICMA November 5 to 10 at Hall 2 (stand " Sixs " ) , where you can see live the Yamaha WR450F 2014 version , ready to make its debut on the off-road national scene .

Wow, I didn't think it was possible to make a GSA look heavier but trust TT to succeed.

May be if they used a clear fairing they could get away with the ''Godzilla look''

Now let me guess, it's a joint venture between Touratwat and Lego?

What ever has Lego done to you that you would mention them in the same sentence with TT?

This
Lego bikes look way better then that.

But interestingly enough there was a time when we all gawked at behemoths like this with a sparkle in our eyes, though the aesthetics were a little bit more refined.

Oh c'mon, there's no comparison. I love the Dakar GS bikes.. but can't digest the look and intent of the accessorised TT one posted earlier.

Makes sense.
Those fat-ass bikes do suit Jennifer Lopez.

No Idea about the 900RR's, but the carbed 650's did mostly end up in museums.
Mostly that is.

A few (1? 2? Maybe even three??) must've made in the hands of collectors, though.

I believe the Kodak 650RR from Andrea Mayer got parted out
At least some parts were sold individually over the last years.

I got an idea who currently owns the windshield....
(if anyone's interested I can check on that, I suppose it is considered for sale, anyways)
