I am still not completely clear if TM will run in Dak15. I have heard mixed responses in that, although TM is positive.
Have not heard anything from the Boano racing camp as well, they were looking for a rider a while ago, but they are quiet now.

Anybody having any other news?
Till later,
D.

well it's mid august here... you should now (even if looks much more like mid october, weather speaking ).
So far I have no idea who has got a "good news" letter from Aso, for sure only Matteo Casuccio, the guy who had his ex-Laia Sanz Gas Gas stolen, as he wrote it on his fb page

>Nasty, very nasty.

In other news the Dos sertoes kicked off today. Hoping for a Coma win. Sad to see it is shortened to just 7 days, I think that was part of the attraction.

Anyone know if it holds the same weighting for the world championship as last year?

I haven't seen anything indicating it's a double points rally again this year.

Live tracking you need a password to access...wtf.

It's no wonder it's not gaining in popularity, the online media presence is a joke in this day and age

Only single points Neil - 10 days or more for double.

Coma was flying today, but Speedy will be looking to chase him down tomorrow

Sammy riding cautiously, a good thing in those narrow, dusty conditions.

Its really hard to pass people safely in Brazil, frustrating I am sure.

Hey guys with Rally Navigator accounts, go check out my RB for the D8SS1.

Here's the video I used:

And the RB:

http://www.rallynavigator.com/routes/3785#.U_qgCGNuXmU

I'll print the PDF in the next few days I think and then go to SA to make the actual route. I started it here http://www.rallynavigator.com/routes/3758#.U_qgoWNuXmU but got lost along the way. I also have Bianchi Prata's Video of this stage here to go from:

I started this earlier this year when the Colonel Vids came out. It's taken me maybe 30 hours to get it ok, but there's still a few features missing from RN for me to get it spot on.

Yes, he was held up in the prologue, catching the #15 and then losing time whilst getting past him.

It set him back in the start positions a bit, but a long way to go!

Great to see Dos Sertos still strong tho even tho it's only 7 days!

Last call for 'Desafio Inca'! I'm heading down to Lima on Sept 9th. I could easily throw a few bikes in the pickup if anyone wanted to fly in for the 3 1/2 day race! Still holding reservations at the Pirates Refuge for 8. Do a Dakar Series on the cheap!

I am also announcing that I (and some friends) are organizing a charity event that will be a 3-day Moto Rally in the Andes and mountain jungles of Peru called 'Caminos del Colono 2015'. It is to celebrate the Austrian-German immigration into the mountain jungle on the eastern side of the Andes 155 years ago to settle the valleys of Pozuzo, Oxapampa, and Villa Rica. Rigdetop paths and very narrow burro trails down into the jungle, riding beaches and river crossings arriving finally in Oxapampa during the annual celebration of their German Heritage with all that implies! Octoberfest on motos!

The charity is a Rotary International project to build and equip a clinic for treating burned children.
