Seth and I have been talking about the Safari for a few months now. Seth lives an hour and a half away and we have the same bike. Logistically speaking, that's a major help when trying to put something together
The shipping cost's seem good, the entry fee seems fair and the riding looks excellent, so why not?

Nothing confirmed yet, waiting for the final numbers from Justin. Fingers crossed

Question for the European Rally fanatics in here: I've noticed alot of the top riders (Cyril for instance) are wearing a lightweight rally jacket from "Kenny". We can't get Kenny in the US that I've seen, and I can't even access thier website; Is that a style that can be bought off the shelf in Europe, or are those complete one-offs for the aliens?

They are custom made lightweight jackets than can be printed with your sponsors, etc. Cost something like 300€ according to Ludo. "italrally" also can offer them to you.
SafariBerg got me interested in a similar product from Australia from Sprint Design (the jacket isn't listed on their site)!!!

Here SafariBergs version:

closest in the US is like an acerbis, klim, axo, alpine stars type enduro jacket or check british motorcycle gear http://www.britishmotorcyclegear.com/ .. I found the kenny site but they only have enduro jackets listed.. not the factory rally type .. http://en.kenny-racing.com/

I've used Acerbis and MSR enduro jackets in the past. I like being able to remove the sleeves; but the lightweight Kenny jacket looked interesting.

Thanks for the links guys!

As far as I know they are not really 'Kenny' jackets but made by local companies that print and design MX shirts.

Inmate 'Ital' has a lead on them in Italy. In Holland, companies like Jopa (http://www.jopa.nl/0000009ab40ce807f...085/index.html ) and WLM Design make them if memory serves my well.

....take a look at www.worldwide-offroad-adventures.com.
You can get different types from Kenny rally jackets. The new version is very thin but is the same like the jackets from Despres, Casteu, Ullevalseter, Califano, etc. Minimum order with your own design is 3 pieces, depends how many pockets and zippers. Price is between 300,- to 400,- Euro plus design cost. Pm me when you are really interestet

A few Q's:
- Is that 300-400 € per jacket x 3 or the total lump price for 3 jackets?
- What materials are used? I.e. cordura, Gore-Tex etc.
- Are there some default, already designed jackets ready for sale with just simple, basic rally layout
( default set of pockets, brand logos like KTM etc.? )

... it is the price for one jacket, because extra designed and special
handmade !!!
... it is a kind of very light and thin cordura
... no i don't think so, because Kenny want to sell the normal enduro jackets

but ask your buddy Ullevalseter, may be he has a Kenny jacket for you !

Nah. Wrong, greenish colour. My orange beast won't like that and may throw me off in disgust.
And besides - I don't haul mail or advertise free for Bring logistics
