F800GS Touratech 20lt fueltank - Who's got one??? - Page 2

The TT big tanks for the F650 Dakar was around $3000 in Australia, this will probably be just as ridiculous. My Kolpin set-up cost me $110 and if I don't need it I can take it off in 30 seconds!! I'd rather wait until BMW does an Adventure with big tank, adjustable suspension etc etc, and it will probably only be 3K more than the GS anyway???

Actually I couldn't care less over the tank conversion, but the adjustable screen seems really good. But first I have to buy me an F800GS of course.

There was a short discussion of the windscreen on the UKGSer site... I don't recall the price but I do recall they were VERY proud of it ...

Beware that it's not a fast download as it looks to be rate limited by the sending server to about 80 KB/sec. This translates into almost 90 minutes of transfer time.

My thoughts? This thing doesn't appear to stand off the frame any further than the stock side panels. They look to replace those.

I should also think that TT wouldn't make aux tanks that couldn't be used with the crash bar extension (item #048-0302).

Hmmm....I'm heading over to TT USA tomorrow night to hear Doris Weidemann (the woman who's riding a F800GS from Key West to Prudhoe Bay, AK with the fellow Sjaak on an R1...). I'll see what I can find out.

I'm not wild about the slotty decoration on the side. But 36 liters I do like.
