Tactile sensations: it is as hard as the stock one if not harder, or, if you prefer, firmer.

It has a rounded shape, without all the angles that makes the stock one look like a brick.

The anti skid cover has a nice finish, the weight is similar to the stock.

Ass will tell...

Nice thread; sort of based around the power of the Hi-spec vs. std. components. It reminds me of part (@11.01) of a certain video where eric (in this instance, of ex-Coma fame) has a session where he attempts to 'out-psych' his opponents.

you should be able to do the first service yourself...most of the tools in the stock kit will get you where you need to go. For the most part the first service is an oil change, valve adjustment/check, and basic lube and torque check...chain tension etc....the owners manual states all the things to check and lists all the torque specs as well. So besides the tools in the kit you will need a small torque wrench and some feeler gauges....all could be bought for the likely cost of the first service at the dealer.

just a suggestion.

Yeah, first service wouldn't be that bad but my dealer offered a maintenance plan. They took all the scheduled maintenances and bundled them into one payment. I saved about 50% off what they would actually cost. I have all the tools to do them but figured I would just not worry about them and let the dealer take care of it.

Yesterday I had something else to do (and I have written abut that somewhere else on ADVRider...), and today an heavy rain is falling.

Murphy's Law rules...

So I am not able to write anything about the seat, but here are some pics of it.

The seat looks great. It isn't available in the states yet but I'm definitely looking forward to giving it a try.
