I have my fingers crossed for the BQF....
Its actually the 27th. I work every other weekend so my sister was kind enough to schedule around that AND BQF. Kind of hard to say no. Hope you make BQF.

Lol.

At 2 she's spoiled enough. My sister and I grew up hearing no. Daddy on the other hand doesn't tell her that. Still a great kid.

Well, the 2013 GS riide is in the books and by all accounts was a (relative) success, no one died, became disfigured, or even had a flat tire. Except for those three things though, almost everything else that could've happened, did. I think it was Cotton a few weeks ago that suggested we change the name to the Adventure Ride, and after going over todays photos I'm inclined to agree, there was definitely enough to qualify it. In fact, there were only a few GS's and about half of them bailed out at the first opportunity. It's pretty much evolved into the DR-XR, Ural-Katoom, KLR ride anyway, heck there was even a Duc hanging around most of the morning. So AdvRide it is until something better comes along.

Anyway, thanks to all the CADS that worked to make it come off smooth and seamless (yeah, I know that's a stretch) but really, couldn't have done it w/o you guys, you know who you all are. And thanks to the out of towners too that made the trek from who knows where and gave us a chance to show off some of our 'hood, always fun.

Should be plenty pics and commentary headed this way shortly, some of it...well, you'll see.

I know KLR riders are sometimes embarrassed by their bikes but hiding it in the bush is ridiculous.

MAJOR THANKS to Bill

We have been following Bill around for a few years now. I cannot say enough thanks for just this kind of ride.
Sure Florida has no mountains but we have a fun area, if you know where to explore.

Bill, much thanks buddy for your low key approach to quality leadership.

The truth here is.....the KLR felt the DR about to pass & took desparate ''face saving'' tactics.

Wow, all jokes aside I hope the riders ok. I can only imagine how abrupt the stop was.

Both bike & rider doing well....

The KLR rider was tough as nail. He was back riding & the bike was only stuffed w/ weeds & small tree limbs.
He actually hung in there very well.

No one got hurt on this ride. Pride is BS, if you keep riding you learn & earn the respect of the other guy.

But if you feel you're getting tired, talk w/ one of the locals & get a clean way back. Got to stay smart too.

Are eight turkeys worth a KLR in the bush?

Thanks for leading the ride Bill.

Great to put some faces to names.

I had a great time.

I hope some of you FFs show up at BQF in a couple of weeks.

I'll post some pics later.
