Dr?

For the record my ride for the day was a 99 DR650. Nicely lowered w/ special forks & a reworked shock. The motor is the sweetest running thumper I have ever ridden. The entire bike was reworked by a master of the DR650 in GA w/ the intent to make his short wife happy. Was told she wasn't impressed. I don't know where the wife is but I have her bike. Even w/ stock gearing this things is way stronger than any single I have ridden. Many have mistaken it for a DR 350 cause it is so short.

No, it is not for sale.

I have been asked about this bike many times....don't really know what has been done in the motor, but it was done right.

This is a good group to ride w/ & if anyone w/ a DS scoot is looking for a ride then get in touch.

Wish I could make it to BQF, but I gotta work this weekend. I might get a ride in with CADS on Sunday if I can get everything done on Saturday.

At any rate, I'll make my way down to The Scrub again one of these days now that the bike is back in offroad-worthy condition.

Be at the Chevron in Orangedale by 11 Sunday. Reportedly an easy ride, but who knows....

Miss you this weekend

Sorry I will miss BQF and the ride this weekend, because tomorrow I am headed for Copper Canyon in Mexico for two weeks of dirt riding.
I will post pictures when I return.

Bill will lead a ride Sunday. Meet at Orangedale on Sunday at 10:30AM. Kickstands up at 11:00AM (planned). There is a weather front on it’s way with heavy rain possible on Saturday so watch your email for any last second updates.

Hope to see you there!
Dean

Donkeys and burros and horses and cattle and Kenworths. When I rode down to Santa Ana a few months ago I counted three dead LARGE animals on the side of the road, including some poor soul's big, white horse.

With that said, while riding down here is a bit "sportier" than riding in Florida, at least you don't have to contend with the blue hairs in Lincolns that turn in front of you, like you do around Jacksonville and Daytona Beach.
