Man this weather sucks.........I keep all of my bikes in my shop, all day long every day, i walk by those bikes at least 100 times. I just bought an 06 KLR and have been wanting to get on the road with that thing. Just did some work on my crf 230, want to take that thing out too.
In the next couple of weeks, a couple of us single track guys are going to go down to Oklahoma City and ride some single tracks down there.

I sat on my bike last week in the garage and made motor sounds. Does that count?

OK is supposed to get hammered by snow/ice soon. Hopefully won't interfere with your plans.

That place looks cool, but if I was going that far south I'd head to NW Arkansas.

I was on one this weekend. I started it, warmed it up, listened to the engine, and kicked the tires. I was told if I wasn't going to buy it, to shut it off, get off of it, and stay off of it.

Who knew my wife would be so protective of it when she bought it?

We looked into going to NW Arkansas, but was told that half of the trails have been shut down by the state for some reason. We got that off of some other single track site. We have never been to the one in OK. We go out to rampart and the hills all the time. We decided it was time for a change.
I will have to do a ride report on ajax when i get back. From what we have been told, it is a really tight single track that goes one way.

I was just down there at the end of October and didn't hear of any new closures. Might be weather related now though.
Any idea of what the source was?

There is only one place that I will ride that far for Pizza.
http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/232/1107...-Inn-Indianola

Special w/krout, and a full bottle of hot sauce.

Since we are on the topic....how about a mid summer ride out to the land of Medecine Creek/Tallboy for pizza.

Just leave early for WF. Wait, they are both on the IN list for the Montana 1000 the week before WF.

Otherwise -- IN.

This could be what you heard about. This is the Ouachita NF, which is further south than the Ozark NF (the link I posted earlier).
Really surprising they are closing the Wolf Pen Gap OHV area except on weekends. Sounds like lots of people are against it though.

I heard they eat their young west of US Hwy 183. At the very least you may be forced into a compromising livestock related situation.
