Keep the self portraits coming!

There's two ways to find a new tag:

Decide on a theme, then photograph it.

Photograph something interesting then decide on the theme to suit.

The hazard with committing to a theme before you have a photo is that you may not be able to get the photo you want - but then that would be a good indication it might be too hard anyway right?

So the brilliant concept was:

Christmas morning - kids on their brand new bicycles.

But are kids on shiny new bikes out in the streets universal? Well certainly I fell off my first bike for the first time on Christmas morning 1968 in the North of England. Too much faith in trainer wheels....

But I could find no kids on shiny new bicycles! What is the world coming to?

And then I realised that perhaps with what the world has come to, chasing kids on new bikes with a camera might not be so bright either.

OK, perhaps kids (of any age) outdoors with their new toys?

So inevitably I found myself drawn to the edge, to the beach, where I found a handful of families with kids trying out their new paddle boards, etc:

A bit disappointing, but I assure you a family with two new boogie boards has just walked down to the beach.

But then the jackpot arrived.
A collection of young lads with the shiniest brand spanking new jetski (sorry, "Personal Water Craft") you have ever seen!

New tag is

Kids (of any age) outdoors with their brand new toy!

First to grab the tag, give us til Monday morning please for everyone else to post their self portraits and kids with toys photos before you post the new tag and we return to normal tagging!

Alright, seeing as file photos are allowed for this one, I'll join with a self portrait!
This is one from last year, the last one I could find from before the accident....
Me on the left, accompanied by my mate Orestis from Greece, also an inmate on the site.

R.I.P. my beloved Fazer...

Merry X-mas to everyone!!

this guy is obviously NOT new to jet sking but this nice sparkly shiny PWC is new(the red one)

In the meantime the family in the foreground with their HAMILTON jet are about to indulge in some watersking(with a wakeboard kinda thing)

I'm in the southern suburbs, the worst of it clobbered the northern edge of Melbourne. A friend up in Coburg reported golf ball size hailstones about 6pm; he was trying to have a BBQ!

The link you give talks about a massive storm, but in fact it was about 5 discrete storm cells, the worst of which tracked across the north of Melbourne. We actually had patches of bright sunshine for a minute or two in between, and you've already seen it was sunny at the beach at lunchtime!

Melbourne;
If you don't like the weather, wait half an hour...
