New Tag is a view from a lookout.

This is the lookout. I just randomly found it.

But it's the view I want not the sign.

I'm not sure, to be honest. Had a pretty bad crash in the first week of September, which cost the lives of my bike and an Opel Corsa. I slipped out of a right turn and crashed into the oncoming car frontally. Mighty impact that was.
I have no idea how I got out of that in one piece. Guess my time hadn't come yet.
Looking back at things, I certainly should be at least dead.
But well, I was lucky - so life goes on!
Only drawback is that my financial situation does not allow me to get another bike. I fear it will not be possible in the nearer future, maybe not even in 2012.
This is really really tough. I have been riding since I was 18, never took more than some weeks break. I really really miss riding.

But one fine day I'll be back and tagging!
In the meantime I enjoy your pictures and stories.
Happy 2012!

3rd party only, yes.
And it was indeed scary. I don't need that again. Should I ever get a FZ1 again - at least I know the absolute limit now. Maybe that's the one good thing in all this.
Although I didn't break any rules. And still I will have to pay a fortune and loose my license for a month. That's Switzerland.

Jeez, I need a ride.....

This one is a little bit difficult for several of us that play out here...they don't call us flatlanders for nothing. It isn't as flat as the Netherlands or Florida here but "overlooks" and "lookouts" usually just consist of a platform and a view of the swamp within a couple hundred miles from here. Maybe someone who lives in an area with some vertical change worthy of a vista like view can grab this.

...or I could go out my front yard and get a shot of the best lookout that I know of in the area (all 30 feet it drops off into the floodplain that the city calls one of its newest parks).

As creativity is often a key to this game and I am unaware of any "look outs" in my area, here is a shot "looking out" at my bike.

If this meets the requirements, at least in the spirit of looking out, your new items is a traffic style sign with an animal on it.

Guess I'll bag that lunch ride to the fire tower then.

Just checked - there are 210 fire towers/lookouts in NC alone. I've got to imagine most states in the US have them.

And as far as other lookouts go...I can easily get some pics of gang lookouts (even in rural areas we have to deal with that lame crap now).

Good use of inventive tagging. Got a deer crossing sign a couple miles away but thinking I'll wait and go for something more unique, like a "Polar Bear" crossing sign.

Speaking of Roos, here is something I picked up the last time I was in Perth.

Thanks, bud. Appreciate your words.
I have fully recovered, so that is one good thing. As I said before, it'd need a wee wonder to get me a new bike this year... But who knows what time brings.

Cheers from Valais!
