I've seen both LPG and CNG in Vancouver BC in 1997.

I know Wright Brothers (suppliers of industrial gases) trialled propane in their trucks in Cincinnati many years ago but gave it up. I suspect the expertise to convert and maintain LPG vehicles is not readily available in Ohio, unlike Australia.

LPG is available in much of Europe and the UK and either LPG or CNG are common alternative fuels for taxis and buses in very large cities with pollution problems.

But I suspect what we will get is an E85 pump somewhere in the midwest, unless someone notices that forklifts often run on LPG...

Theres a pump or "bowser" less than a block from my house in the great Midwest. I'll snap a pic on the way to work this morning. Shall I try some E85 in the 75DT?

Late to the tag

Man, you guys have been busy!

For the fuel tag I was going to take a pic of a liter of Biodiesel I made next to my bike.
I was this " " close to producing Biodiesel out of my garage when the price of diesel was $5 gal. Now that it's on the rise again, $3+ gal I'm thinking about starting production if I can get my old veggy oil source back.
Hey eepeqez, Diesel is not diesel here anymore. It's Ultra low Sulfur diesel (USLD) and it can be hard on $1000+ injection pumps in older trucks.

Tag on!

Okay. Apparently I'm not an artist. So, here's the next tag.

Find somewhere they perform plays. No movie houses accepted.

That doesn't sound like the Adventure Rider can do attitude.

Oh I hate that, Firefox crashed and I lost my entire post. As you will see this was no minor loss...

OK, above was the National Theatre in St Kilda, posted from a nearby Thai take away shop while I waited for my dinner to make sure I didn't get Bruced...

I went out for a wander this afternoon....

I used to drive taxis in Melbourne in a past so long ago it sometimes seems like a foreign land, so I set out without map or any other reference looking for theatres.

I got sort of carried away.

Just near the Yarra river (remember the night photo down the river a few weeks ago?) is the Melbourne Arts Precinct, where the National Gallery (but not the National Theatre!) and quite a few other "arts" facilities are located.

Now I managed to remember the Arts Centre which includes the State Theatre and the Playhouse:

I rather liked this poster, and yes this is December:

Next door is the Hamer Hall, currently under reconstruction:

Crossing the river into the city, I rode straight past the Forum and completely failed to realise that it's a theatre nowdays and not a cinema as it was in my youth. So no photo...

Possibly the most famous theatre in Melbourne is the Regent, built as a cinema for Cinerama in 1929, rebuilt following a fire in 1947, closed and slated for demolition in 1970, and vacant for over 20 years until it was finally restored as a theatre from 1993 to 1996, the Regent was an ongoing political sore for over 20 years.

(Mucked up my horizon badly!)

Directly across the road from the Regent (I didn't even move the bike) is the Melbourne Athenaeum, built in 1842.
They say that Europeans think that 160km (100 miles in the original tale) is a long way, but Australians think that 160 years (adjusted to suit the circumstances) is a long time. This is one of the oldest remainign buildings in Melbourne.

(Horizon is better this time)

At this stage I headed up the Collins Street hill, contrived to completely forget the Palace Theatre and stopped at the Princess Theatre:

Around the block and we're out the front of the Comedy Theatre:

And across the road, once again without moving the bike, is Her Majesty's Theatre:

By this stage I'm running out of conventional theatres (hah! needless to say I was within a mile or so of several more that I should have remembered).

So I moved on to theatre restaurants!

Dracula's:

Witches in Britches:

And my favourite, the Titanic:

By this stage the weather was looking pretty dubious and I still had plans for the next tag...

Ooops, wait, I missed one!

Back in the arts precinct (remember that, by the river, start of the post?), the Melbourne Theatre Company has a dedicate facility containing the Sumner Theatre and the Lawler Studio:

ENOUGH!!
Anyone I've missed by now has missed their chance!
