I thought that was the guy driving the F250 in the picture?!?!? We also call him "lightpole"

After having my chain pop off from a weak link (didn't rivet it well enough, lesson learned from riveting) I sat in the Hattiesburg Cycles parking lot waiting for my dad to deliver my rivet kit and spare master links, while waiting a Red KLR passed by, older one, and I believe I've seen it before.

this is why i use a clip type. all you need it a pare of pliers to put one on. some vise grips and a nut help to but can be done with out.

A rivet link done right will never break or come loose. They must be done with the "right" tool or failure is always possible. As for a clip type I have used them on dirtbikes and on my racebikes where I am in constant observance of the link. Street bike, I never use a clip type.

If you are using a rivet link invest in the tool (Motion Pro makes a few good ones) it'll pay off for iteslf in no time.
