Have pics of me from 1985 or so heading out to FL on a Yamaha Maxim 700 wearing shorts, tennis shoes, and a helmet. Years of riding and multiple offs later, I agree with the ATGATT philosophy. However, I believe we live in a country where a motorcycle rider has the right to be as damn stupid and carefree with personal safety as he or she wants. Loud pipes save lives and full face helmets break necks... and all that..

Yeah, I agree. I didn't mean to sound like a zealot. I am not always ATGATT even though I am well aware of the consequences of not being so. I am sure that dude was enjoying himself and that is, after all, what it is all about, no?

Enjoyment come to those not sliding across the pavement with no gear on. This from a guy who rides most everywhere with just a vest on.

And these machines are for the BAD BOY in all of us!!!!
Can happily say I've had good rides on both examples, full gear of course!!

I ride MOTGMOTT but occasionally I'll run to the store in just a helmet, shorts, t-shirt, and flip-flops. I don't own crocs.

Yeah, I figured you were. I didn't mean to sound defensive; I just like to argue for the sake of arguing. I thought you knew me.
