It looks to be mostly there, a good starting point for rider or resto, no ?

What's an assigned title ?

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Looking for a couple of things for an 81 R100RT I'm fixing up.

Brown Side Stand - I think they are all the same except R65 and GS
Factory chrome saddle bag mounts.
Small black factory rack that attaches to the seat cowl
Rear wheel spacer to run a 120 tire.

Also could use an upper faring from any RS (smoke red would be a plus). I'd like to convert the bike to an RS.

PM is best for contact.

Thanks.

Those are available at your local dealer still. Just a couple of bucks, I think.

You're talking about the little rear spacer that's something like 1.5mm wider on a dual shock model? If so, I'll send you my wide one (10.7mm?) if you send me your narrow one.

Dammit dammit dammit

Does any one have a battery box that will fit a 74 R60? Bad condition is fine, cheap is preferred. I just discovered my noise inder the seat though! Damn previous owner and his "fabricating skills" bit me in the ass.

Thanks for the offer but I'd like to keep it to have the option to go back to the proper size tire when this 120 wears out.

I can get one at the dealer but they are like $15 for the big one, less than half that for the stock one.

1984 Yamaha FJ1100

This bikes in England

up for grabs is my 1984 Yam FJ 1100 80's rocket ship that's been bought up to date with fully adjustable front forks, 320mm floating disks and current "Blue spot" front calipers. This gets rid of the original horrible anti dive system and weak front brakes.

The bike has had recent new carb diaphragms and inlet rubbers, Carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned. A new Bosch Battery was fitted yesterday. The shimming has recently been carried out and the carbs have been balanced. There are no second gear issues with this bike.

The bike has covered just over 42k, Is taxed and tested.

Bad bits -

The front tyre is "scrubbed" and could do with being replaced soon. The bike is shown with a 17 inch wheel fitted but I have the original 16 Inch wheel with a decent tyre (included in sale)

The vacuum fuel tap occasionally plays up - moving the tap to the prime position sorts this. repair kits are availble fairly cheaply.

The mirrors rattle. Common problem with these. A new pair would be 32 unless you devise a way to stop them rattling.

The fuel gauge bounces when it drops below 1/3rd full. It still reads ok but bounces about.

One of the instrument bulbs has blown.

The seat has a couple of small tears. There is another seat included in the sale so I'm sure Tony Archer would do the business for 50 or so (http://www.tonyarcher.co.uk/)

Ultrasonically cleaned carbs

Without the belly pan

Covered in ACF50 and road dirt (this morning)
