In another thread, Raven mentioned this guy as having rebuilt a G/S OEM shock, and I've read other reports of very happy customers for various shocks. http://www.sasquatchrider.com/

Might be worth contacting him with some pics and details and see if he can rebuild it.

Also, awhile back, some folks on the Chain Gang (f650.com) had F650 OEM shocks rebuilt by Lindemann Engineering. Those shocks are supposedly not rebuildable, but LE figured where to drill, tap and fit the nitrogen charge valve and fix up the rest of the internals.

Also probably worth checking into.

Of course some shocks are just not rebuildable. But some that supposedly can't be - can.

Yeah he rebuilt it for the PO. But said he would NEVER touch another G/S shock. Not sure if it would fit, but I can offer you a nice racetech spring thats currently attached to it.

Thanks for the info.

Raven, was the racetech spring statement directed at me?

Yeah it was, no pressure though...not sure if it would work on a GS vs a G/S.

I have the spring/shock just sitting here taking up room

'67 BSA Victor 441

I'm putting my 1967 BSA Victor 441 up for sale. I would consider a D/S trade...DR 650, KLR, Honda XRL, BMW F650.

Basically it has been completely done over.Frame was powdercoated, new Excel shouldered aluminum rims, new SS spokes from Buchanans, engine completely gone over...new piston, rings, valves, guides, tappets, big end ass'y, cranktrued by Bore Tech, small end bush, new primary chain, Barnett clutch, new footpeg rubbers, new seat cover, etc, etc. I have a stack of receipts from the previous owner who did most of the restoration. He rode it very little and I rode it twice last year. I need to thin the herd!
$3300

Wow, thanks for the offer! I can't find anything that says the rears on the two bikes are interchangeable. Mono VS Para. I'll poke around and see what I can find.

Or you could just put them in the Old's Cool Craig's Thread.

Wow, an original Nazi war club!

I have one of them, its SO much better than those goldish repop ones. Ive broken/bent a few of those, but you'll rip the head off the motor before you tear up an original!

smokin deal, also!
