I like the extra light set-up on that 660 in the back ground ? Is that tour-tech or Yamaha stuff? Cant wait to see the BIKE and goodies to go on the new 1200..... .counting the days !

So i asked him about North America, he told me it might become available as well if there's any interest, so i asked him if he'd give me one to take across for a marketingtrip, as i'm planning a trip for this summer to Canada and the US anyway on my '94, the man said, give me a call, we'll discuss that.
So its going to become a paralel twin for sure, 1200 and very linear poweroutput, just like the old superten, so truly king of traction, very easy to ride off road, like the old one, traction control, hopefully with a switch, and unified ABS brake system.
Might get some true pics of the bike.
Thats it for today,

Maybe the shock news is that the new Tenere is the old Tenere (retro style :))

Yamaha's Facebook

Go to other forums and spread the word!!! Come on!
I was expecting 3 messages ... but it looks like the Tenere lovers have taken over Yamaha's FB page! Sweet!

page 38 post # 566

Eureka!

Yamaha has already disclosed the new Super Tenere, but we failed to realize it.

Go to page 38 of this thread, post # 566.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...309776&page=38

Watch closely that bike outline wrapped in blue Touareg cloth.
Then close your eyes, and pull a skin on it, and bingo!
You know what the bike will look like.

I believe that all the outlines of the bike were presented there since it's likely that the real ST provided the blueprint for that elegant exercice of style.

We are not happy right now, but I believe that this Yamaha exercice of style will live on.

Dream a little.

My $0.02.

Ya"l want that tenere or supertenere so bad?
Lets catch the marketing guys attention and make'm poke their noses and scratch their heads, these guys do actually read these forums and use them as marketing instruments...

Well quite frankly i do not know if they do ride, i'll ask, but assuming the motorcycling industry has become so complex, it be a difficult task for them to follow al the diffirent aspects of the industry by riding and be part of the biking scene, but i've got a bc in my pocket so i'll ask how they do things.
Just got of the phone with some friends who live just north of Calgary, promised them i'll be headed there this summer, and i'm planning to do some trips with Dualsport bc, so i'll be coming your way.

Because 2 years ago credit was freely available, and I can't see many people paying for an uber-trailie in cash money.

Large purchases (houses, cars, bikes) are lock-outs for many people these days.

But, like I said, I really do hope this is a great bike and does well in the marketplace.

oh don't worry about it, most of those who are the posting here very often they don't buy, don't ride, don't...don't.., etc
