yes, I mounted the OEM heat controller where it's supposed to be.. it ain't pretty, but it's easy to reach while on the go... No one does switch gear as elegantly as bmw's, but I'm over that now!

Look, I LOVE my BMW XMOTO and feel like I will have it for a long, long time, but it was my first (and last) BMW motorcycle. From the pricing and availability of parts to the general attitude of the servicing dealer...I learned my lesson.

Good price!! I got mine for $12,000 and $378 for the warranty 2 weeks ago. Also got $3,100 for my 2009 KLR with 14,700 miles which I thought wasn't bad.

123 is the highest GPS I've been able to do. Bike was loaded, down hill and breathing very heavy.
It floats around with the K60s so I don't try to beat that.

123 on the GPS is the highest I've ever seen, too... Had the bags on and the Parabellum, but nothing else, running the stock OEM Metzlers. Had a slight tailwind and it still took forever to get there.

That said, mine has sat on 115 (again on the GPS) for miles at a time, no problem, and it gets there relatively quick. As an aside, the bike's speedo is indicating 123-124 when doing that speed.

Oh, and mine will clock a faster top speed in 5th than it will in 6th.

after reading through over half of this thread, i think my uly is in serious danger of being replaced in the near future. and i love the uly more than any other bike i've ever owned. maybe i can talk the local dealer into a test ride

I don't know about you, but I have owned more than 20 bikes and have never felt like I got so much for my money. My Y2K Blackbird comes very close, but bang for the buck on the S10 for 12K is off the charts.

You finally found a bike you like, that is great. The Tenere sounds good, now I need to get rid of my GS. Maybe the Yamaha dealer will take it in on consignment or perhaps as a trade in.
