I was loaded down and stopped twisting the grip as a corner approached when the bike was above 115 mph on the GPS. Above about 100, the increase in speed was slow but it was still increasing.

123 on the GPS is the highest I've ever seen, too... Had the bags on and the Parabellum, but nothing else, running the stock OEM Metzlers. Had a slight tailwind and it still took forever to get there. That said, mine has sat on 115 (again on the GPS) for miles at a time, no problem, and it gets there relatively quick. As an aside, the bike's speedo is indicating 123-124 when doing that speed. Oh, and mine will clock a faster top speed in 5th than it will in 6th. Dallara ~

I don't know about you, but I have owned more than 20 bikes and have never felt like I got so much for my money. My Y2K Blackbird comes very close, but bang for the buck on the S10 for 12K is off the charts.

You finally found a bike you like, that is great. The Tenere sounds good, now I need to get rid of my GS. Maybe the Yamaha dealer will take it in on consignment or perhaps as a trade in.
