I would not keep that orange thing in my house overnight. Lock it in the garage, or better yet, bury it until drop day.

I agree Fred. You might want to put it next to a juicer to keep it in line.

Off to unload the Annoying Orange.

Caffeine will release its powers. It might take possession of your soul, if not your brew.

For your own protection, I'd recommend the Outer Banks for the next tag.

The Orange has been dropped along SR4004 (a.k.a Upper Strasburg Road) in PA. Glad to be rid of him. The spot:

Less than 100 yards from the intersection of this road and SR4004.

Laid to rest.

Entombed!!! I feel safer already.

Bikes has not moved. Orange is right about where the mirror is in this picture, at base of the stone bridge wall.

SR4004 is a very twisty road. Enjoy!

I love those old stone arch bridges. That road has two, and I'm just glad it's had little enough traffic all these years to have saved them from PennDoT concrete and steel. Walk down to the edge of the stream to see the old masonry.

That road also has lots of "whoop-de-do!" humps in it. (I don't know what else to call them.)

I believe they are remnants of what were called "thank you ma'ams" - google has a few hits. My neighbor explained it to me as flat 'spots' in a grade that were used to rest horses, or if your auto broke down you had a safe place to stop. wooden brakes and all.

Google say it's any number of reasons, drainage cuts, rocks, etc.. when they built the original road surface. Over time, they slowly become less pronounced as the roads get paved and re-paved. But some of the older less heavily traveled roads still have them very pronounced. There is a section of 472 just north of the MD state line that is fast, but has some very sharp 'thank you ma'ams". I've had lots of airborn events on that strip .

Thank you ma'am comes from the un-controled 'yes' head nod you have when you hit one..

I remember my grandfather explaining that very same thing about "thank you ma'ams....I haven't heard that term in a very long time!

Grab

Photobucket is useless. Photos forthcoming soon. No Orange, swept away by flooding I think.

R.I.P. Angry Orange II

Angry Orange II is missing. His residence was washed away during recent flash flooding. You can see debris stuck in the fence.

Who has the Tag? I don't see a Tag photo from yrunotriding.

Grab shots

Here is the grab shot from about 1:30 today. Photofucket was not working on my phone earlier today, so am posting them now.

One hell of a lot of water must have flowed over the bridge to sweep the Orange away. Really a great road to ride FredRyder, many "thank you ma'ams" and a 270 degree turn that was not expected.
I hope you had a good ride RefJeff? In the interest of diplomacy, I realize that you were able to post photos before I was. So if you want to choose the next tag you can (and pick a new mascot, but I am beginning to think a mascotless game is the way to go).
If you let me be the one who posts the next tag then here is a clue.
