First time I have seen this here.
Extortion via a false road block and in a fairly well transited area.
The bus was stopped but the passengers smelled a rat and took down the bad guys with their bare hands, disarmed them, and held them for the authorities.
Personally, I think it is just an odd exception. Turns out they were local cops. Go figure.

Some fun in the Zongolica region!

Now here is an interesting stretch of road.
I've ridden in this area but not this particular stretch.
As I mentioned to SR on another thread, there are two reasons why
I have not done it yet.
First, you need to know the bus schedule.
Second, there is no bus schedule.

Have a look:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=NrvaoR-xRjY

The ride into this area is pretty fun. The stretch that leads to the Zongolica was where I saw my buddy's girlfriend throwing up from the passenger seat of the bike as she got a bad case of vertigo on the descent. This video is from one of the brechas we didn't take, we took another one out and that is a whole other story, at least there were no buses. Just locals carrying a homemade, occupied, coffin down one of the roads that was so narrow we just stopped and they passed us by.
Sometimes I miss riding with Jorge and "la mojarra", then I shake my head and sweat a little.
Yes, it is a good one!
First time I ever saw a technicolor yawn done from a bike in motion.
Jorge was my old riding buddy whose bike burned one night, when he wasn't on it.
I am anxiously awaiting for when he gets his insurance settlement and new bike.
I think.

Is this Tread updating? It has been almost 24 hours with no meaningless BS being thrown!

Well, I guess it is, this one posted. Is anyone at work or is everyone out riding?

Divine intervention can often times save a GS1200 Adventure's final drive.
