Hey JD!

Do you know that the 800GS is now available in the Adventure model?

Hey Trice!
Rafael Lago is the local independent BMW mechanic here, a great guy and Spanish through and through. You'll enjoy riding with him, great source of info on his native country. We used to get a lot of the Spanish bike mags here and there is a tremendous passion for bikes in Spain.
Looking forward to hearing some time, your adventures over there, while enjoying the gambas fritas here in Veracruz. Que te vaya bien y disfrutar su viaje.

Spain in May, followed by trying to keep up with SR in Durango and Sinaloa, in June.

Veracruz in the fall, but not on that pinche BMW rally

I request a photographer's tour, with emphasis on how you do that B/W mastery stuff.

Brilliant

Strah Gallery photos in black and white of the Mexico back country should be in the National Museums of both the US and Mexico

Glad you enjoy it! Flattery will get you your first drink on me! LOL!
I am going to start a photo essay of black and white shots of people I ride with. Something I should have done ages ago. I hope to get them all to the level of the shot of the Mystery Rider in Teziutlan. I will try to rework a couple of shots I have of a few people, but I think it will be better to simply go for a good ride and see what the camera finds.
I am going to send you a PM, check it in a couple of minutes.

I think you are knocking at the door of a lucrative side job vis a vis B/W photos and Mexico, punctuated with full spectrum color prints.

These days, everybody has a camera

Few have the eye. The age old dilemma.

You got the eye

You got the PM, thanks again.
Take a look at the guy in the pic and he might be familiar to you.
I sent a second PM with the link to a little story.

Too much to take

Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johanssen, Rafael Lago and Michael's B&W fotos all within a few posts, a surfeit of riches...try to go for coffee with Rafael and Juan Pablo at the coffee shop around the corner...if you smoke cigars JP is the man...the best Mexican puros! JP speaks English, works for United at the Veracruz airport, rides a 1200GS, Rafael speaks motorcycle, his receptionist is a little heart breaker.

We aren't plannin on heading north until Friday, and that will be superslab the whole way, so still not sure what to do with our extra time.

Hey Donnie!

Yes! But is it big enough to haul all the parts that fall off your bike??

Think I'd rather have this.
