I didn't come up with the idea, I got it from a rider who told a long and involved story of his entanglement with the Napoleonic legal system after being in an incident in Durango.

That's the way you do it. Duct tape that card and your credit card to your forehead before they start the morphine drip and enjoy the trip.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

A little psyche game on you to think about during the two upcoming offroad (planned, that is) forays
Remember not to take a "Bato line" when riding with SR
How did all that Euro vacation with paella, pizza, pasta, and gnochhis/gelatos affect the "cut like granite" profile?

The air just looks hot!

Hopefully, we will get a little rain to cool things down. I little but not too much! That could cause some other problems.

Im gonna seriously look into this.

Specially if I could tie it in with my ride down south.
That would be awesome!

Definitely watching this space.

For now, you can read my next post....

http://www.atvrutadurangomazatlan.com/index.html

I'm always pushing and promoting this event because it's a lot of fun. This year I finally convinced another Gringo (Tricepilot) to join me. I understand it's a big production to drag a dirt bike down to Mexico, but I really think it would be worth it.

This year the event is sold out with 100 people. Registration is limited because there are a limited amount of cabins to stay at in the mountains on the first night. 100 people is a good manageable number of people for something like this.

But if anyone wants to come down and ride, you don't need an event. There are groups of guys going out riding almost weekend. You can always ride in the Sierra by yourself, but do it with caution. The Sierra Madre of western Mexico is way more rugged, way more isolated, and way less developed than anywhere in the western USA, so you need to be prepared if you go off road!

Hey Donnie,

This slipped by without my notice so I will address your comment now... pertaining to me riding your old GS, now my new to me GS in parts of Mexico that you have traveled... If the hookers are really good looking, I will keep them. If not, should I give them your email and cell # ?

All its going to be is a little tropical storm with winds about 40-50 and a bunch of rain. Find a hotel and hole up for a couple of days.

Well, if they can actually run out to the road, that passes my test, send them on!
