You are lucky you weren't raped...but then you could have laid back and enjoyed it, seems to be your philosophy.

I was going to suggest that they also stole your acting career, but in reality a quick Google shows that Henry Darrow has been pretty busy since the days of High Chaparral.

(And some would dare to suggest that this thread has quit being educational )

This is really interesting. I know this technology has been coming around but it looks like its about there. Yamaha made an AWD WR450 about 10 years ago but it never really caught on. AWD is probably very sweet in certain bad traction conditions, but cornering on dirt would be weird with the front wheel pulling. Although, it has a switch to turn it on and off. Surprisingly, the 450 only costs $7K. The website says they are working on a 950 Adventure model!

There is a thread here on ADVRider about them.

That announcement about a 950 is either fairly recent or it flew under my radar because I was chatting with them about building one of their military bikes for me as an adventure tourer.

You should get one Mon. I'd love to test one out.

What happened?

This could be useful information for others. Daytime? Roadblock? At the hotel?

Craig (CJDesigns) was all secretive, when he was at casa WB, about a design he said he was working on. By that time Cristini already had product. I have no idea if Craig followed through.

Either way, im going to finalize this in the next couple of days. Originally, I was going to do Baja > ferry > Oaxaca, but now Im more inclined to ride down mainland.

I hope to get it figured out soon

Question marks can be a very good thing while routing through Mexico.
From Parras to Veracruz that's about all I got right now.

I'll keep an eye out for you on this thread. Might cross paths down there.

It would be nice to have some follow up on this.

Glad you were not harmed.

Details please. Robbed on the highway? Robbed at a restaurant? Were you stalked?

If BATO is being dishonest with us, he should be banned for 90 days.

The whole point of this forum is to exchange info about safety in Mexico.

Strange light fell on the old hacienda on the high plains, today.

I took this shot while thinking of Roald Dahl. Someone once said his writing was like a staircase that lures you up and has you take the last step which, deliciously, isn't there...
I've always thought that was a pretty good description of Mexico.

RMO knows the place, we all know the feeling.
