Now that is damn funny.

I wonder how Mike's ear is after being irrigated with squirrel jizz. What would Rick do?

Did they get their "intel" from the TSA? We have all heard about US LEO's getting executed in Baja in the news and internet, happens every day I'm sure.

Moving to the Front

In my limited experience in Baja at a legitimate military checkpoint they will usually motion you forward if you are on a bike. That said, at a cuota toll booth on the mainland I got an angry lecture from the renta rifle and said desculpeme more times than a group of Catholic school boys after a trip to a cat house. My conclusion: It is entirely situational and you have to look for clues. The military boys treat vets with a lot of respect. More than the cops here do.

Well, OK, you got me there, RMO. I don't cheat lines at toll plazas and I don't cheat all the way to the front at military checkpoints. Just most of the way. And it most definitely is a judgment call as you say.

It's uncommon for a renta rifle (excellent description from the wordsmith RMO, by the way) to lecture anyone, it happens but IMHO and experience, is very rare.
Usually, especially if you . are alone, you slip up to the front smoothly and quietly an give a friendly wave to the vehicle you are beside and usually they will let you in.
Caution: Does not work with political douchebags driving Suburbans, punks in Mini Coopers, and fashionistas in mini-vans.

Heck, aren't you in Wisconsin?

There's places in the backwoods there where you can hear banjos.

Note: I do like Wisconsin. Who needs the land of milk & honey when you've got the land of cheese and beer? BTW, SR, you need to explain to me what's going on in the SW corner of Wisconsin, where they have a semi-mountainous region with cliffs & greened up buttes- almost canyon-ish west of LaCrosse- like the Mississippi tore it up eons ago.

From the horse's mouth

Finally a reply from the Banjercito office itself (although I have it figured out by now....)

Good morning.

Regarding your email, you can apply for temporary import permit for motorcycle. You will need original and copy of: Passport, Migratory Form (Immigration Institute brings you at border), title certificate or registration plates under your name, pay $48.84 USD for permit and leave a warranty deposit and will depend of motorcycle year $200, $300 or $400.

Best regards.

See that guy standing behind the word "yo" on the sign?

He came up screaming at me when he saw me move around traffic and up to their blockade, so, you know, I see him comin' at me so I get all jacked too, because I'm not gonna be intimidated! So I scream a naughty name back at him! Take that!

So now he's really pissed, and goes hostile for my moto, and my DNA can't let that happen, so I instantly clock him with my patented Gringolator™ - my pet name for my jawbreaker I learned in 8th grade on the playground, when I had to deal with Vinney "Three Fingers" Carnozza.

Now you know why things have been quiet lately!

My hero! Fighting for truth, justice, and the American way And then you rode away into the sunset while men cheered and women cried at your departure while waving white handkerchiefs.

(Or did you ride away in the dark, while it was raining, and then crash your bike and get all kinds of hurt?)
