PJ, ahhhh yessss, we've still got the horses in the streets. The "fierro viejo, viejo fierro" guy passes at least once a day, same for the "pollo" guy, but the fruit and vegetable guy pushes his cart, guess he likes the exercise.

As for the masted commercial ships, well, from time to time you can still spot them off the coast. In fact, here's a pic from a couple blocks away from my house. Days like that, you park and take a look out at the horizon, and you see exactly the same sight as more than a century before.

That's what I like about Mexico, every day you can find the "way back machine" and dial in whatever century you want!

Ahoy! These ARE the good old days!

Bob, looks like the southeast corner of the zocalo.
Where the vocho is parked is one part of the downtown Sanborn's outdoor
terrace, the front of that building has been modified.
But is the photo skewed because it is a photo of a photo?
Remind me to tell you the story about that hotel it was taken from.

SR, those are the real deal, tall ships that are training vessels from various countries.
The Chautemoc was out there.

Thanks for the tip! It's now on "Sjoerd's List"!

Ha! Good one! I did that 21 years ago today, what a coincidence! Upper level international departures in the old main terminal. Put my wallet and passport inside my shirt.
