I don't often vacation where I can't drink the water,
but when I do, it sure as hell isn't Toledo, Ohio.

Stay Thirsty, my friends.

From Our Urban Dictionary Department

Holy Toledo

"Most likely first used in the early 1900s, either refers to a sarcastic remark about Toledo, Ohio or originated from a realistic remark of the Holy city of Toledo, Spain. It is now used as a phrase, by Americans, if something is unbelievable, disturbing, or blows their mind".

Well deserved. Can't compliment your artistic efforts enough. Have completed Into the Blue.., The Treasure..., Oacaca and will do the other reports. Great photos. Nice read. It all makes for a nice journey for the viewer/reader. With you and others presenting all this wonderful media, I'm having almost as much fun as you guys. Hope to meet up some day, share a beer and a taco.

Hey MikeMike!

Just to set the record straight, I think V-Twins are great motos! In fact, I think they probably make the best two up Adventure Touring moto for south of the border. Long Live V-Twins!

Of course there are different flavors of V-Twins!

Hoy en Mexico, no los necisitamos mediadores digitales de luz, necisitamos detectores de mentiras digitales de los politicos.

Corto y bueno...

From Our San Miguel de Allende Department

Condé Nast Traveler named San Miguel de Allende #1 of the 25 Best Cities in the World

The real estate market in SMA is roaring back to life, in no small part due to articles like this and others

It may not be the "real Mexico" blah blah blah, but it is a wonderful place to spend some time and go explore. And it is a photographers paradise. It's also a pillar of Mexico's Golden Triangle - SMA, Guanajuato, and Dolores Hidalgo.

It also may not be the best place to learn Spanish (discussed before), but it may be a great place to learn Spanish grammar in one of the many schools.

Tip: For short stays, I recommend Posada de las Monjas hotel, just a couple of blocks west of El Jardin. For longer stays I recommend finding one of the many rentals available from part time ex pats.

Fun Fact: When the Tonight Show ended, Johnny Carson's band leader, Doc Severinsen, moved to San Miguel de Allende. He even formed a new band there.
