When I first started coming dow to Mexico, I would dutifully fall in behind cops when I came upon them and curse my bad timing. Eventually I found cars passing me and the cop. Coming from the US, it feels weird to pass cops on a solid line, but I've done it enough times now, it's starting to not only feel normal, but right, and righteous..

I hear you, it took me a while to get used to passing cops as well. The best are the Federales. Not long ago I was late taking my son to a football game and I was lucky enough to drive behind a Federale doing 150/160kmph, he "escorted me" all the way to Cancun (70km away) and I got there in time. I wish I could have tipped him. |

If you like African heritage in Mexico, visit Yanga.
Yanga is outside of Cordoba on the libre. There is a museum there that documents the history of who the town was named after, "Yanga" who went pretty much undefeated when the "authorities" came calling. They've got a statue to the man, as well. |

Us northern Gringos now have something to worry about!
Canada is NOT safe! http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/29/world/...html?hpt=hp_t3 No doot aboot it, we will soon need to worry about flocks of toque wearing, Queen-loving, Rush fans sneaking across the Ambassador Bridge and taking jobs away from all the hardworking Americans in our scenic and lovely Detroit. I expect we will be reaping a harvest of wrappers and cups from "Timmy's" littering our tranquil farmlands, from the shores of Lake Erie to the beaches of Lake Superior. Based on the news reports, the violence seems to be from Montreal, which we all know includes British Columbia, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and parts of Alberta. Oh, and by the way, Canada, we don't want any more of your damn geese. One exception: Sjoerd- if you need a place to take refuge, you can sneak by my place. Call ahead, and I will let you know if and where la Migra is on patrol.

It's not the La Migra that you have to worry about in the USA, it's the zombies.
"El Pollo Loco" takes on a whole new meaning! We'll have to get Chango to start posting some videos like Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, and Naqoyqatsi. |

Nice start Schizzman! You can tell it's early in the day because I still have a windshield in this photo!
I hear that when big GSs get too much hot tropical sun they sometimes like to lie down and wallow in the dirt for a while to cool down. Is that true?
