Wicked

One danger we haven't discussed here is "the end of the world" Much like the hippies on the roof of the skyscraper under the saucer in "Independence day" we must be ready for the sudden surge in Doomsday Tourists heading south. Let's face it, they expect to die in 2 weeks, so why would they look out for Motos?

To start the ball rolling, I thought I would post this picture. It is a ready reference guide on how to identify the applicable calendar, and stay off the roads...

Hmmm.... well it made ME smile!

Heading for Mexico again after a busted shock in Baja made me return to San Diego for a new Ohilins. So, Mexico Take 2 begins tomorrow.

Since I already went halfway down Baja, I'm starting from Tucson this time and crossing at Nogales. Heading in the general direction of Copper Canyon (anyone here going to be there in the next couple of weeks?), how does this route look from a safety and scenic and police perspective?

Sadly by the time they hit about 40 they won't look like that. I think I might put my faith in the Oreo.

This is a good route to take. Cross at the Nogales Mariposa gate, not downtown. The traffic in town can be nuts. You will be on the toll road until Magdalena. Look at the hotel web site for Nogales border crossing info and the turn at Magdalena.

You have a choice to go to Moctezuma then to Son 117 south to Mex16 or go through Ures then down to Son Hwy 20 through Bacanora, Son 117 and over to Mex 16.

Be sure to stop and see us in Banamichi! Stay at the Hotel or just have a cup of coffee and we can talk routes, road conditions and what to expect. Bien Viaje!

I shall buy him one of his favorite Long Island Iced Tea's with your regards.
The man knows his cocktails.
Give him my regards. He'll be missed.

Nice. Hey Mr. Tricepilot, how about the top ten phrases one should be able to speak in fluent Spanish?
