Los Ángeles Verdes: has anyone been on the receiving end of their help? I'd be interested in hearing stories.

On a lot of highways the Green Angels will pass at least once a day where they have a presence.
They are not really bike oriented.
You wont find them very often on non- cuota roads!

That has been what I have seen in my days of fairly intensive cuota riding to get to SMA. Never actually seen them having to help someone because most of the traffic I have seen has been big rigs and late model cars and SUV's loaded to the gunnels and screaming down the highway at 130 or better... many with US plates.

Safe?

Mexico is not safe. If you come here with an open mind, a spirit of adventure and a curious nature you will lose your heart ten times a day to a person, a sight, a sound, an act of random kindness.

On another note: It is freakin cold here in SMA. The sun has just broken through the overcast as I enjoy the best breakfast so far on this trip at La Cocina on the corner of Hernandez Macias and Quadrante... a great place where on this cold day people are eating in the kitchen!

It's cold everywhere. Friends back in Florida were bitching about the lack of heat this morning.

Perfect weather here in Cuernavaca. A bit chilly at night for the missus, but perfect for a displaced Brit :) perfect riding weather too.

There are two kinds of lost. Not knowing where you are, and not knowing where you are going.

You'd be a pansie too if you lived 3 hours from the border. You'd like to be a pansie, too. Wouldn't ya?

This Canadian is reporting low 70' s and cloudy.
Going to warm up nicely for New Years.
Fiscal cliffs, debt ceilings, shootings, taxes, snow, cold, ice etc...why dont you just say "a la chingada" with all that and move to Mexico.
The worst that can happen is your old lady might leave you.

I hear gueros making plans!
