Gullies, or dips, or washes, however you want to put it - low points. Kinda opposite of topes. Usually "vados"

As to our previous discussion of insurance, I just got off the phone with "Chris" at mexadventure and they have no resolution with their Mexican carriers as to new limits that match up with the new law. "It is a work in progress". Still waiting to hear from Lewis and Lewis.

Just got off the phone with "James" at Lewis and Lewis. They appear to have a product and options available to more than meet the recent changes. I will be buying a full coverage $300K Combined Single Limit policy with a $500K excess liability policy. The excess coverage adds $1.10 a day to a short term policy. I have not read the actual policy provisions for exclusions but for ten bucks, I'm buying it. ;) .

But please verify it yourself and do your own research.

Mrs. TC was on the phone with Lewis and Lewis today, bumping the coverage on the Suburban. Very modest increase on the premium

Important news everyone-

This morning NPR declared that Puerto Rico is more dangerous than Mexico. Since PR is a commonwealth / territory or 50 1/2th state of the United States, we may now conclude that the US is more dangerous than Mexico.

Since we have been unstickied, we might as well quit posting, lock this thread, and go ride Mexico.

Someone complained (to me) about this thread's "incessant chatter". (S)he shall remain nameless.

Still, despite the incessant chatter, or probably because of it, it remains the only thread in Trip Planning with over a million hits. Somehow this connects to what appears to be an ever increasing number of riders heading south across the border. Perhaps the discussion of how to handle risk management had/has a small impact upon a few decisions to ride there. Maybe it had nothing to do with it.

So IMS evolved, in part or in whole, into a Mexico Internet Riders Rally thread. Someone get a lawyer!

Something tells me IMS will live on just fine without a sticky

Especially if we keep up the gratuitous bumping by making lots of posts.

Is that incessant enough?

For us non-Texicans who cannot ride at the moment, this thread is our bare, frayed thread meagerly holding us to reality.
