I really like these bikes but recall the reviews as stating that the rear suspension stunk and the cornering clearance was terrible. Does anybody know if Victory has added a "performance/handling kit" to rectify some of these issues?

Thanks, g-
Maybe for the Low editions.

My Victory Vision is the best handling/cornering cruiser/touring bike I have ever ridden. I routinely drag through the corners but I also ride aggressively.

This is the first I have heard of anyone complain of the stock suspension.

I think (don't quote me) Victory went to all low editions on their cruisers a couple years back about the time they moved the foot controls back, so now the longer shocks are the option. At any rate, the standard Judge is low with very limited cornering clearance. I'd like to try one with some suspension work because I otherwise really liked the bike.

Agree 100%. Super cool bike, but very limited cornering clearance is a deal killer for me. Also crummy bump absorption is up there on my list of deal killers. I loved my XR1200, but I sold it because it wasn't quite refined enough and the suspension was so marginal. I just didn't think spending $1000 on suspension would have made that much difference, although I could have been wrong. Somehow I think the Judge, with decent rear suspension and more cornering clearance, could be an awesome bike. g-

Have done a few LD rides on my '07 Vegas and find it really comfortable. Carries lots of stuff and presents splendid handling even on dirt roads, potholes and mud.

I am thinking very seriously about an XCT now. I went and spent a little more time in the showroom. Military rebates and good finance rates have me on the brink of buying.

Don't you think that the motor is mounted incorrectly? Shouldnt it be crossways?

The best bike I've ever owned is my '07 Victory Vegas 8-ball.

I keep buying motorcycles and dressing them the best I can as tourers. I am thinking this time I'll just buy a loaded out tourer and not do a damn thing but ride it.
