Quint,

You were so close you could have made the SW Region Rally in Laughlin this weekend!

Have a safe ride.

Here's a pic of the chain drive custom at AZ Victory. My friend at TurboTec did the conversion.

75 means your are doing 80-85.

I probably depends on the bikes, but with Harleys, 6th gear is nice. Though I have road across Montana doing 95 with a 5spd. 6spd drops the RPMS a little.

I think with any bike it can be nice to lower RPMS, use less gas and vibration.

chain

What size engine is in the guy with chain drive? Cause I am sure not converting back to a chain to be cool. Chains suck.

One handed, press the button and they pop open. They shut one handed also.

The Harley design sucks. You get used to it, but it still sucks. Some of the older Harleys and GWs the lid came off come completely. What a PIA, having to set it somewhere.

The Harley cop bikes seems to open ok. The can get there coffee out, without getting off.

I've never, ever had a hydraulic clutch fail. Everything from Goldwings (big 6 cyl engines), to ST1300 (strong V4), to various BMW's (I-4 and Boxers).

I think motorcycle manufacturers know how to build hydraulic clutches. Heck, HD sells an aftermarket hydraulic clutch for their bikes in their Parts and Accessories catalog.

I always thought that the reason they still used cable clutches was to save $.

See my post earlier. The hydraulic clutch on my Suzuki Intruder 1500 (now known as the C90 Boulevard; the same bike, but with brakes and fuel injection) fails REGULARLY in hot weather and prolonged heavy traffic.

Correct. They use the 100 in the Vegas and Kingpin line, and the 106 in the Hammer, Jackpot, and touring lineup. All but the 8 ball version of the Vegas, Kingpin, and Hammer models use the 6 speed.

The cops bags are the best imo...easy to open and close with one hand. And being able to grab a map or something to drink without getting off the bike is nice.

I can open and close the bags on the XC one handed while sitting on the bike without any effort. I think it is actually easier doing it while on the bike than beside it.

What are you smoking?
Polaris is from MN. Victory motorcycles is a division of polaris made in spirit lake Iowa.
BRP= Bombardier rec products, Seadoo snowmobiles and Can Am type ( spyder)from The bombardier family.

Learjet is from a different company all together. Bombardier Aerospace is a public company that makes trains and owns learjet. I work for learjet and we do not make snowmobiles or motorcycles and have nothing to do at all with BRP ( bombardier rec products)

Nice try to make it seem that Victory and Polaris are Canadian but you need to do some homework before you say things that have no truth involved.

It has the great big caboose, but I still kind of like it in an art-deco kind of way. They need to really expand their dealer network up my way, the nearest dealer is a 2 hour ferry ride away. I'd like to test ride a Victory someday and I have heard the same from many of my fellow riders.
