camped at Mt St Helens!!

Camped at Mt St Helens fri nite. It was a party at at the Cascade Hgts overlook! thats where they had the road closed.
Found a Helicopter landing pad just this side of the Ryan Lake/Meta lake turnout.
A great campsite...plenty of firewood.
A bunch of college girls were camping right at the overlook.
When the moon came up it was awesome!
The coyotes started yelping about 10:30.
the warming hut at Wakepish was empty.
if anybody wants to camp on the Heli-pad let me know,
I'll give you directions.

Didn't have a camera.

Turn left just before Ryan Lake cut-off.
Keep bearing to the right, the heli-pad is at the top!
Anybody for a Mt St Helens overnite?

No helicopter pads for me

I had a helicopter try to sit down on my evening bivouac in Vietnam. Thought I was having a nightmare at first with all the blowing dust and that demon light focused on me.
I don't want to repeat the experience.
