South Dakota residents...can you register/title a dirt bike for road use?

I just, this year plated my XR650r. All I had for the DMV lady was a Bill of sale and a offraod registration that previous owner had. And of course a I had to fill out that letter/check list. Went back to DMV and I had a licenses and a few week later I had a title! The Funny part about it was that I didn't even have any of the check list items done yet!

None of us have ever been pulled over with out SD plates on Nebraska bikes. I can't answer that question. As long as you have insurance on it and you aren't transporting dope with it, i am thinking you will really have to piss off the cop to have them give you any problems with it.
