Winny This Week end (ice ride)

The plan is to plow a nice track off Pete's on Sat.

I can't ride Sun and others?????

The track is not in a good spearing area so we should be fine.

DAVE, kitchen and ???finished yet

Ben is bringing a fire! Beer after as needed.

Lots of snow now, so we could make a very kid friendly pile o white stuff

Remember, the bridge is out west of the landing. So, come in on K from 151 or prairie on the east side of the high school.

The plow is also lubricated with porter/stout/bock and whiskey has been known to work in a pinch

Remember, there is a mass exodus from the ice around noon when spearing is done for the day. We pretty much stop riding for about an hour (good time for lunch?) as we watch everyone try to work thier way through the snow.

cords of wood?????

From Osh town....
Get to FDL 23 east and go until 151 north (just past Festival Foods)
Left on Co. Rd. K Follow until T and left.....
Turn out on the lake maybe 500 feet later. (just before/at the boat dealer)

Problem with GPS etc is that a few weeks ago two bridges were removed along the road along the lake. So, some direct routes do not work for some people.

I think we may be able to plow a snow mountain for kids

How about just driving across the lake? I'd imagine I might run into some some nasty drifts and ice heaves out there....

There is a bridge across the crack about 1/2 mile from the wayside north of FDL. The ice is pretty stable now, there's a good base and not much temp variation to heave it up. Unfortunately, with the snow and theblowing, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3-4 foot drift or 2, coupled with idiots cutting sturgeon holes and not marking them (your supposed to stand upright sticks in the holes to mark them if you abandon a hole) would make for a lively cross-lake drive.

Which I plan to do Saturday AM! I will have my chains on though, not gonna try it with just rubber. I will also have my tow strap, winch, come-along and clevises too. Yeah, I've pulled LOTS of people out in the past.
