Zega Panniers

I am thinking of parting with my Touratech ZEGA panniers that I had on my R1150GS. I originally wanted to try and modify them to fit the new bike, but reconsidering this option....looking at using this money to go towards a new set of panniers.

I don't want this thread to be of "how about this brand or that brand pannier". I already have a set in mind that will suit my purposes.

Problem is...nothing is cheap out there...minimum of $1500 for crappy plastic ones (which I am not getting). Even the BMW Vario cases are plastic and problematic offroad without modifying the mounts and they are probably the least expensive option (approx $1500)

I will throw in the mounts that were fabricated for the R1150GS, maybe you can modify them to fit your bike. I have the interior lined with the corragateed "for sale", to keep things banging against the aluminum and turning black.

$500 firm. PM me and I will send you contact info

Super Sherpa for sale, Ontario

EDIT 2nd PRICE DROP $2,650

Offering Wifey's Super Sherpa for sale:

Due to physical issues with her feet & ankles, my wife can't brake & shift these days. We bought her a Vespa 300 to ride, so the Sherpa needs to go. I think the scooter will work better for her. I sold my dual-sport last Nov. to fund our foray into scooters.

The bike is an 05. We bought it ~5 years ago from the original owner. It was hardly broken in, perhaps had 1,500 km on it. The guy basically changed the oil annually while it sat in his garage. It now has a bit less than 17,000 kms. It has had regular oil & filter changes (at home), 2 valve adjustments (by a moto shop), and the battery replaced. Lives on a Battery Tender, garaged.

Michelin T-63 tires front and rear, new tubes, tires look good.

Wifey keeps an Excel sheet with all the service details. She has an eBay bound, printed service manual. OEM toolkit.

Mechanically, in fine shape. Wifey rode it today, first start-up of new season. Runs great.

The Sherpa is stock except for a jet kit to relieve the slow warm-ups the Sherpa is known for. Still needs a good warm-up. Has Tusk milled aluminum 3/4" bar risers (we have the bolts that will return to stock).

A buyer should probably change brake fluid just because I am not sure when was last done.

High fender is OEM in Canada (your American friends will be jealous).

Cosmetically, it has some rash on turn signals, Bark Busters, and the TCI Borrego luggage rack from a few dual-sport rides, and walking speed / parking lot mishaps. Wifey is petite, not physically strong, and sometimes it just gets away from her, especially if she has gravel or mud under her boots.

We've ridden a few rail trails, lots of back roads, and she commuted 14 km each way to work on it for 5 years, before she retired this year.

Located in Collingwood.

Photos taken today:

milk crate uses the TCI rack's quick-release (spring loaded) mount, so you can impress your KLR riding buddies, but remove in 5 seconds when you don't need it.

scuffs on Bark-Buster Storm (if they bug you, you can buy new plastic pretty cheap - 2 screws to mount)

TCI Borrego rack - sturdy, functional rack, offers some protection for the bike too.

[ANOTHER] PRICE DROP $2,650 includes UVIP, and at this price, we will safety.
